A survey announced today shows New Zealand to be the top destination for UK travellers.
This beautiful country has been named the “Coolest Destination”, beating the Bahamas, Bermuda, the Maldives, Fiji and even Britain’s very own Brighton.

This is the second award New Zealand has won this month. It was also named “Best Destination” by British traveller magazine Conde Nast.

The survey was carried out by CoolBrands with the poll being judged by a panel of 23 style experts from the arts, fashion and entertainment sectors; these guys know what’s cool! It also included the results of an online survey.

The New Zealand Chief Executive for Tourism, George Hickton, says being top of the hippest destinations is certain to give the country a boost.

“It’s very gratifying to see we are such a desirable destination, especially as this poll includes opinion leaders who can have an real influence on people’s travel choices.” says Mr Hickton.

Recently New Zealand has run a strong promotional campaign to convince the UK travellers that New Zealand is the dream destination for them. They have been involved with the world famous Chelsea Flower Show and have run an advertising campaign “Come Now. If Not Sooner”.
